Easter - Is it Pagan?

Product No.: RWB03
Price: $ 6.50

For any who have doubts about Easter, this book presents reasons why the anti-Easter teaching should be rejected.

Some have speculated that "Easter" is the name of a pagan goddess, yet no one who celebrates Easter did so to honor a goddess! Constantine did not start Easter at the Nicene Council. The 40 days of lent did not start in Babylon. Christians who attend sunrise services are not worshipping Baal. Eggs, rabbits are not vile, abominable objects! This study shows that many have been victims of "misinformation".

Review by Kathy G Theroux (03/05)

I just finished reading "EASTER Is It Pagan?" by Ralph Woodrow (not a Christadelphian). Years ago he also wrote "Babylon, Mystery Religion" (when he realized some of his "facts" were wrong he took it out of print & wrote "The Babylon Connection" to correct those facts). The "Easter book" put things in perspective for me & helped me to be less judgmental. I have been rather rigid in ignoring all the world's celebrating of the holidays. I see now that most of what is part of our lives today, seems to stem from paganism, and a lot of what I looked down my "righteous nose" at, in fact comes from early Christianity and may be mentioned in our Bible !! I'm still not going to decorate the house & yard with rabbits & eggs or hide Easter baskets but I feel better about those who do, (Mt 7:1-5) & I will now try to turn any holiday conversation into an opportunity to talk of Yahweh's plan. Next I'm going to read "The Babylon Connection". I read "Babylon Mystery Religion" over 20 years ago. I want to continue to learn the facts. Then "Christmas Reconsidered" in time for Xmas!
